To prepare for making my magazine I thought of several names to use as a masthead. This is very important as it sets off the entire magazine, especially by creating an audience. I've chosen names that are appealing to both genders but are mostly aimed at females, such as: 'Wyke Gossip' and 'Your Wyke', in comparison to 'Educate' and 'Corridor'. Because my magazine cover is for female readers, I have chosen my fonts wisely to match the name and theme. My fonts are such as 'old school' and 'watermelon' - from using this website www.dafont.com - although they are all very bold. In my opinion a thin font wouldn't have such a 'wow', interesting effect and college students would not pick it up.
